Q&A

Will there be parking?

Yes! If you are not staying at the Carolina Inn, valet parking will be available when you arrive for the ceremony. Please tell the valet that you are there for the Harris-Styres wedding.

What will the weather be like?

May is the best month in North Carolina! Typical daytime temperatures in late May are in the high 70s to low 80s. The ceremony will be outside, but cocktail hour and the reception will be indoors.

Are kids invited?

We kindly request that children do not attend the wedding unless otherwise communicated. We appreciate your understanding and hope you are still able to join us!

What should I wear?

The dress code for our wedding is black tie optional. For men, this means a tuxedo or dark-colored suit and tie. For women, floor-length evening gowns are encouraged. Midi-length cocktail dresses are also appropriate. Please refrain from wearing white or ivory.

The welcome party dress code is cocktail attire. For men, chinos or dress pants with a collared shirt and jacket without a tie are appropriate. For women, knee-length or midi-length dresses are appropriate. No jeans, please.

What time should I arrive?

The ceremony will begin promptly at 5:00 p.m. Please arrive 20 to 30 minutes early to ensure you have time to find a seat.

When should I RSVP by?

Please submit your RSVP by April 26.

We can’t wait to celebrate with you!
